Our Films & Collaborations
We work in close collaboration with community groups, charities, schools, and organisations to support people to make films in ways that feel accessible, safe, and meaningful.
From Stills to Cinema: Partnering with Tuesday Club Studios
When a dedicated group of mature photography students at the City of Portsmouth College decided to transition from still images to the silver screen, the result was the birth of Tuesday Club Studios. We were invited into the fold by group member and filmmaker Chris Jupp of Fat Finger Films to serve as a cornerstone of this evolution, acting as the primary cinematographer for their debut productions and collaborating closely with Chris on the final edits. This partnership was about more than just capturing footage; it was about bridging the gap between photography and narrative filmmaking, helping a group of talented adult learners translate their visual expertise into a cinematic reality. The momentum from these projects, including the time hopping period piece Old Souls, and a classroom drama with a twist Lessons Learnt, provided the professional foundation necessary to establish Tuesday Club Studios as a formal creative collective. It has been a privilege to influence the growth of this group, moving beyond the classroom to help build a vibrant, permanent fixture in the Portsmouth filmmaking community.

The Visitor
Young Creatives Portsmouth, Fort Widley Filmmaking Project
For the past two years we’ve worked closely with The Young Creatives Portsmouth, running weekly filmmaking sessions designed to give young people real, hands-on experience making films from start to finish. At Fort Widley, our older group stepped into every role, directing, shooting, acting, editing and experimenting with green screen, VFX and generative AI tools to bring their ideas to life.
This wasn’t about following tutorials or copying trends. It was about building confidence, learning how to collaborate, and giving them the skills and freedom to tell their own stories properly. Every film you see here was led by the young people themselves, we just guided the process and helped them push their ideas further than they thought possible.
Watching their work grow in ambition and quality each term has been the best part. These films are a snapshot of that journey, creative, chaotic, funny, thoughtful and completely theirs.

Empowering Youth Through Creative Collaboration: Our Partnership with Motiv8
Our long-term partnership with Motiv8 is dedicated to providing life-changing choices to young people by amplifying their voices through digital storytelling. This collaboration has fostered high-impact initiatives, including securing £15k from Arts Council England for specialized animation workshops and producing a powerful care leavers video to reduce the stigma surrounding children in care. Our shared portfolio features "Jack’s Autism Story," an empathetic film exploring neurodiversity, our contribution to the national #BeeWell wellbeing programme, and a youth-led online safety awareness campaign. Together, we continue to bridge the gap between creative expression and social change, ensuring young people have the tools and the platform to shape their own narratives.
